Let’s start by saying, Jaclyn and Mikes Meadowbrook Hall spring wedding was absolutely dreamy this past Saturday! After what was a tough year in 2020 for couples getting married, that had ever changing restrictions placed upon it, kicking off the wedding season with this beautiful wedding was a breath of fresh air. Everything was absolutely stunning.
Before I get into the wedding day, let’s first talk about how sweet both Jaclyn & Mike are. Through the entire wedding planning process, they were very easy going and easy to work with. I loved meeting them at their engagement session, and getting to know them over the last few months. They are both very kind, smart individuals and one thing is for sure, very much in love as you can see throughout all of these images of the two of them.
We kicked off the wedding day at Jaclyn’s parents home. I love scheduling time to capture the bridesmaids getting ready, and the bride getting “into her dress.” It’s also so sweet to capture the bride with her mom, sisters and friends during that time. It’s also when I try to capture as many details as possible.
Their ceremony was at Royal Oak St. Mary’s. This church is near and dear to our family as not only is it our parish, but my step son currently goes to their school, and Hudson was baptized there. So it’s always fun to shoot at “your” church.
One of many surprises that Jaclyn’s Dad did throughout the planning process was have Kymberly and John of Motor City Vintage Rentals scheduled for photos and part of Cocktail hour at the entrance of Meadowbrook. I personally love working with Kymberly and John (they’re a father/daughter team) on wedding days. It’s such a fun experience for couples, and as you will see makes for beautiful photos. If you haven’t considered adding them to your wedding day, I highly recommend them.
Another surprise for Jaclyn and Mike from Jaclyn’s dad was some additions to the Meadowbrook Tent. We ended up having a few minutes to do a quick reception reveal for Jaclyn and Mike and it was one of the sweetest things. Their reactions were priceless. They got to see the whole reception space set up before any of the guests, and it was fun to let them try out their first dance before anyone was there. If you have the opportunity to do this for your own wedding I would recommend it.
Its hard to believe that It’s only been 2 days, so I’ve got lots of images to sort through, but in the meantime wanted to share my favorites because I mean. Wow!
